Sprouting Plume Agate
Sprouting Plume Agate
These two cabochons are cut from the same slab of plume agate. The “inside” edges are the raw outside surface of the original stone.
A three dimensional silver leafing vine is creeping between the two stones, mirrored by the swooping wires on the frame. Squiggly root tendrils hold the stones securely in place on the back of the piece. That sweetly spiraling little vine between the two pieces of stone is a testament to nature’s triumph against overwhelming odds!
There are some air pocks along the plume lines, accentuating the organic feel of the stone.
This is a large statement piece! It measures 6.8 cm from the top of the bail to the base, and 5.8 cm at its widest point. All metal is 0.925 sterling silver.
