A sweet mushroom family portrait! Mushroom caps are formed from copper and can be kept polished bright or left to develop a natural patina over time. The mushroom stems and skirts (annuli) and the frame are all shaped from silver. All the elements are entirely hand-shaped, not cast, so there may be some slight variation from the photos— that’s what gives each piece its unique personality!

If you are especially sensitive to copper, you may want to wear this piece over clothing, or coat the back of the largest mushroom cap with a layer of something like wax or clear nail polish to keep it from resting directly against your skin.

Measures 4.1 cm long (including the bail), and 2.4 cm at its widest point. Idle Talons works in argentium (0.935) silver, an alloy that contains a higher percentage of elemental silver than sterling, and replaces some of the copper content with germanium which makes it more tarnish resistant than any other silver alloy. Argentium silver is nickel-free which makes it suitable for most people with metal allergies.
